The truth about cats and dogs...

Last weekend I mentioned that I went back home to Virginia for a few days with my BF to visit my family. I got to spend some quality time with my family as well as some of my best friends in the world. I also got to spend some time with my parent's lil' dogs. The dogs are named Hannah and Haley and they are adorable. Hannah and Haley have been friends and companions to my folks for many years now. Whenever I get home to Virginia, I get to spend time with them. They are so fun that I always wish I had a dog to call my own. I do have a cat, Alice, who I adore but one day, some day I do want to add a pup to the family. I think it will be when I have more space. I can only image the chaos that would ensue having a dog and a cat in only a limited amount of NYC square footage. Yikes. Before I left on Sunday to come back to NYC, I got to play in the back yard with one of the dogs, Haley. Hannah stares at you if you ask her to do anything while Haley is what you would consider to be the perfect example of "Man's Best Friend". I shot the video below while we were playing a bit of kick ball. I'm not sure if anyone else thinks it's amazing but that dog will push a ball twice her size back to me so I can kick it. I think that is sweeeeet. You won't see Alice doing that anytime soon. I posted the following video on YouTube and thought I'd share.

While I'm on the subject of animals, I wanted to show a cute cute video of my cat Alice who lives with me in New York. I swear - she has the BEST life. She sleeps, eats, plays, sleeps, yowls, plays some more, eats, sleeps, plays, yowls a bit more and that is it. Sounds like quite the life to me. The video below was taken early this week as Alice played and yowled it up. Did I mention she yowls a lot!? I'm so lucky to have little pets like this in my life that mean so much to me. The pets I've had are considered to be part of my family. While they may be a ton of work, the joy they bring is immeasurable. xoxox.
