The very talented twenty six year old actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt is featured in a video produced by The New York Times as part of their Style Section. I had seen the article when it was published but didn't realize there was an accompanying video, too. You may remember him as the young lil' chap from the show 3rd Rock from the Sun. He has changed quite a bit over the years. The usually clean shaven actor is seen in this clip looking as scruffy yet adorable as ever. I've always been a fan of his Post-3rd Rock work with great roles in movies such as Brick and Mysterious Skin. The article (FOUND HERE!) is quite telling and offers a glimpse in to the usually shy actor's life. Check out the video below.
A snippet from the interview:
Interviewer: "It’s interesting that critics consider it riskier from a career standpoint to play a gay hustler than a soldier in an unpopular war, or a psychotic hit man, which you play in your next film, Killshot.”
Joseph: "As an actor, you have to be open-minded. That’s one of the great aspects of the job. In the real world, people make judgments all the time. But as an actor, you can’t judge. I would rather play someone who is different from me. You can’t be a bigot and be a great actor."
