On Saturday, Madonna played the Live Earth Concert from the UK. I always get nervous when Madonna performs because her vocals can be spot on or they can be a bit of a mess. This time, out of the gate, Madonna was full on rockin'! Madonna performed 4 songs - her Live Earth inspired Hey You, the '98 hit Ray of Light, the 80's classic La Isla Bonita with special guest and cult New York Gypsy punk band, Gogol Bordello, and her smash from the Confessions album, Hung Up. She looked amazing and the stage show was as amazing as any Madge fan would have expected. In regards to Live Earth, I'm always trying to find new ways to improve the life that I live as well as improve the world around me. While I always don't live a GREEN life, the concerts and the PSAs that were presented between each act on the show got me to start thinking about how I could make a difference. The World Watch Institute suggests 10 ways to go green and save green. Do at least one of these and you are moving in the right direction. It's the very very least we can do. We are running out of time. The crisis is now. As a Madge fan. I'm happy to see her putting her name and her money where her mouth is. The four clips of the Madge performance are below. Enjoy. xox.
as your newest madonna monday super-fan, i will make a conscious effort to 'go green and save green.' thanks for the motivation.
