I won't bore you with another Oscar wrap up but I have to say that my two leading lady hopefuls both went away with an Oscar. I had no doubt that Helen Mirren would win for The Queen and one time American Idol reject Jennifer Hudson would steal the Best Supporting Actress prize for her role in Dreamgirls. These two ladies took acting in a whole new direction with their work in 2006. I thought the show was very very good this year. Ellen did an amazing job hosting the show - finally the Oscars were funny! That is a tall task in a usually modest and conservative show. Kudos to Mr. Al Gore for his win for Best Documentary Feature - An Inconvenient Truth. If you haven't seen that movie - What are you waiting for? The truth exposed in that film is just the kick in the butt we all need to start making some changes. A Complete list of winners can be found HERE. Some of the big winners of the night are below.
