The following track, a lil' gem called Time Stood Still, is one that I adore. The song was written for the 2000 flop film The Next Best Thingstarring Madgeand her good ol' pal (at that time!)Rupert Everett. The movie was not so great. This song, however, is sublime. TheWilliam Orbitproduced track is so lovely and supremely shows off her vocals. I need another Madonnaballad - now!
Oh Madge. Why ya gotta do this to me? Ya got me while I was vulnerable & spending more money than I should. I was out doing some holiday shopping and they had this track booming in the store. It sounded REAL GOOD. I realize I never really gave this track a proper listen. This mix hooked me in hard. You'll see. It's Hot. Listen.
The following is an alternate version of the Steven Klein directed video of Madonna's Get Stupid interlude used during the Sticky & Sweet Tour. I love the close ups of Madge. She is showing her age and I love that. Watch.
The following is an amazing remix (& Video) by DJ Robin Skouteris. He gave us THIS hot mix which has not left my iPod since I first heard it. This is a fabulous retrospective of Madonna's incredible career. You can watch and download more of Robin's kick ass work by visiting his Myspace Page . YUM. xox.
Madonna released her first single 27 years ago today. The song was called Everybody. It still is one of my faves. Who knew what was ahead of the young little girl at that time? Enjoy.
Everybody ~ come on ~ dance and sing. Everybody ~ Get up and do your thing.
Was it nice to see these two divas joining forces on SNL? Yes, Yes, Yes. Did I think Madonna look beyond amazing? Yup! Did I think the skit was any good? Well...hmmm...NO! However, I had the same reaction with most of the skits last night on SNL. Anyway, I still adore those two and would love to see a proper collaboration one of the days. Watch the SNL skit below...
Last night, my girl Madonna appeared on David Letterman's show to promote her new greatest hits collection although besides Dave's fumbled introduction the album wasn't even mentioned. This is all well and good since it left Madge more time to get back to being a lil' naughty and saying some quite cute and funny things. However, I do think Dave should have asked a least ONE Jesus question. I mean, COME ON! I'm assuming he had a "Do Not Ask" list. Booooooo! Anyway, Madonna is looking amazing these days. It was a fun little interview. YUM! Watch a few highlights below.
Two ADORABLE videos have surfaced from Madonna's last shows on her Sticky and Sweet Tour that just wrapped in Tel Aviv. Everyone expected the special guest on the closing night of the show to be Justin Timberlake but instead it was Madge's daughter and son, Lourdes and Rocco. SO CUTE. Lourdesis a talented young lady who I'm so interested in watching grow up. She is fiercely talented and already showing her range - dancer, pianist, fashionista. Her sonRoccois destined to be on the stage in some capacity. He already acts as if the stage is a second home. Work! The lil' guy is 9 now. Where does the time go?? This is a family that is going to be in the spotlight for years to come. WhenMadonnasays goodbye, she'll have a troupe waiting to take her place.x.
I'll have to keep checkin' cuz I'm sure they'll pull this down soon. Get it while it's smokin' hot. Madonna - you have a killer hit video on your hands again. YUM.
In Honor of Madge's 51st birthday, I'm posting a mash up with the Princess of Pop Lady Gaga. The remix is yummy and just the thing to celebrate another fabulous birthday for the Queen Bee Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone. xox.
Madonna performed recently in Oslo amid a torrent of rain. Despite the weather glitch, girlfriend pulled it off quite nicely. Guy, her longtime manager and friend, has been posting mass clips and updates via his Twitter account which have shed quite a light on Madge on the road. Watch the slippery goodness below. xox.
I love Madonna, y'all. You all know that. I wouldn't listen to her daily, devour her videos, blog about her endlessly or have devoted a year of Monday's to her if I didn't think she was fabulous. HOWEVER, she needs to find some balance with her physical training. I'm mean...DAMN, girl! Her arms are amazing and should be commended but I'm not sure they are amazing on her anymore. It's just soooooooo severe. I'm sure the flash of the paparazzi's bulbs are harsh on her but I don't think it's making her arms something they are not. Girl needs to pick up a pizza and put down the barbell. This is not a look I like. Although, her new single (LISTEN HERE!), I do. xox.
Matt at Boyculture (via homotography) brings us some delicious pictures of our lord and savior Madonna's boyfriend, Mr. Jesus Luz. The shots are featured in the most recent Italian GQ. The young man is shot by photographer Mariano Vivanco. Check his site here - marianovivanco.com. Ummmm....Damn. Madonna's return to Jesuscouldn't be anymore understood. Amen.
Madonna was quick to include a lil' tribute to the late Michael Jackson as she kicked off her second round of the Sticky and Sweet tour in London last night. I sooooo wanna see this show again. It was such fun here in New York. Bring it back! Watch.
More photos have been released for the Fall Louis Vuitton campaign. Madonna is showing the world once again that she is the reigning Queen of Pop photoshop. It's so overly manipulated and doctored that neither Madonna nor the LV products are really the star. I'm not really sure what I'm looking at. Ah well - It's not my favorite campaign but it's certainly eye catching. My fave shot is the last one below - the pink gloves, the pink bag. Yum. Check 'em out, loves. xx.
