RIP Hannah.

My parents lost their lil' dog Hannah yesterday. Hannah was 14 years old. She lived an amazing and lovely life. I got to see her for the last time when I vacationed with my family in North Carolina this summer. She was a sweet dog that brought much joy to me and my family. Rest in peace, Hannah. You were love. x.

Norman Mailer ~ 1923 - 2007

I just recently read an interview that was featured in New York Magazine about the incredible and brilliant author Norman Mailer. The interview focused on Mailer's views on God, creation and the existence of a heaven and hell. It's ironic that the subject was of the ethereal kind seeing as no more than a month later, Mr. Mailer would die of acute renal failure at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan. He was 84 years old. He may be gone but the spirit of his work will live on forever.

Fade to Black

If you were like me, the ending of The Sopranos the other night left you wondering WTF? Was that it?? Did Tony make it out alive? Did all the drama in the preceding episode make for a dull final episode? On Monday morning, almost every paper and site I looked at had something to say about the show's finale - most of it far from positive. Well according to a new website, what we didn't see is the most important part. Tony is DEAD. You can visit the site for more details and a chance to give your own theories but here is what the site speculates:

Evidence that Tony is dead:

1. Tony walks into a restaurant and surveys the room. What does he see? The camera cuts abruptly to Tony looking back sitting in a booth. Does this signify he's already dead and replaying the event.

2. The juke box contains a number of selections that Tony passes up, all of which could be chapters in his life.

3. Tony is very suspicious of everyone who walks in the door.

4. AJ provides a last quote "remember the good times."

5. Guy in Members Only Jacket appears at counter, continues to watch Tony.

6. Guy goes into restroom, in a scene that pays homage to The Godfather. The series frequently draws on your knowledge of other mob films. We all know what happens when he comes out.

7. Tony is distracted from watching the shooter by Meadow's entrance.

8. We never saw it coming, just like Tony tells Bobby in a scene played TWICE this season.

9. We have always seen the show through Tony's eyes, including now.

10. The music has always been a big part of the ending. The silence speaks volumes. Ends on "stop."

The Reverend Jerry Falwell died today at the age of 73. I'm not going to blast or demean a dead man. (I did that enough while he was alive) I'll let his owns words do the talking. He left quite a legacy. His hate filled and uneducated rants were spewed in epic proportions. He'll be sorely missed...oh who am I kidding?! In case you forgot, in February 1999, an article in Falwell's National Liberty Journal suggested that a Teletubbies character, Tinky Winky, could be a hidden homosexual symbol, because the character was purple (which the article claimed was a color symbolic of homosexuality - it's actually pink - ok, girl?), had an inverted triangle on his head, and carried a handbag. The man had a mouth but not a brain. Read on...
