I'm such a fan of the videos created by Candas Sisman. They are strange, innovative, neurotic and haphazard. I selected just a few of my faves but you can see more of them here. You can also visit Candas' official site which is csismn.comWatch. Now.
I love watching how Shepard creates his amazing pieces. They are layers upon layers of patterns, colors and material. I LOVE everything he does. Watch. Now.
I'm not usually a fan of the Absolut ads although some of them catch my eye however I love this one. Now if I could only afford to visit there! It's been since January that I've been there and I wanna go back! Expedia gods - I'm in need of a cheap ass flight miracle. xx.
Ummmmm...That is quite the rope. Yum Yum Yum x 1000. The hair is adorable as well. Below you will find the newest collection of shots for Emporio Armani featuring the always lovely Mr. Beckham. I still wish he wouldn't talk though. The body of a God and the voice of Minnie Mouse. Ah well. xox.
Watch the unveiling of David's ad in london. It's HUGE. The ad, of course. Ahem.
George Michael joined Beyonce on Tuesday at the O2 Arena in London where they performed Beyonce's smash If I Were a Boy. Below you will find a short clip. As you would expect, it's yummy. Check it out!
My buddy Jason posted a video that I just adored. It shows a lil' guy simply dancing on a hill at a summer music festival. His groove was so inspiring that soon his one man show was a huge dance scene. Jason thoughtfully wrote on his blog in regards to the video and I think he nailed it - "Drop a pebble in a lake and eventually the ripples go beyond what you’re capable of seeing. If you can touch, move, or inspire just one person in your lifetime, it will have a powerful impact on the world. Live knowing that your extraordinary actions will still be resonating across that lake for 7 generations and then some." Well said, buddy. I love this video so much. It just makes me smile. Watch now.
I'm sooooo loving this Spring ad campaign below by artist Steven Wilson for nycgo.com. Be sure to check out both links and the video below - they are full of goodness. x.
In New York City, I am often in awe of how the rugged concrete landscape can mix so succinctly with the natural landscape. This video explores the mix of what is man made and what is not and it's done beautifully. Some shots remind me of being back home in Virginia. It's la la la lovely. Watch.
One of the joys of running for me is not just the connection to my body or the beautiful city in front of me but often is the beat that is bumpin' in my earphones. My buddy Charlie has spun some INCREDIBLE mixes that keep me at my pace. They are good on the dancefloor and they sweet as well on the street. You can listen to two of them HERE and HERE. Another DJ that I run to as well is John Acquaviva. I've been listening to Acquaviva for aaaaaages now. He, like Charlie, formulate some of the funkiest house grooves that I have ever heard. Tonight while I was running along the West Side, the following track came on by John Acquaviva called First Stroke that I wanted to share. You may have heard it, you may not but I hope you'll take a second to turn it up and tune in. It's just a fun fun fuuuuuun track. Enjoy. xx.
The always bizarrely lovely Amanda Lepore has just released the new video for her track Cotton Candy. I love Amanda. Love HER! The video, directed by Bec Stupak, also features Cazwell. Yum.
I love so many of the shots from this clip. NYC is one of the most beautiful places on earth. This video, even with all it's rad lil' glimpses, only scratches the surface of how this city shines. Watch.
You wouldn't take a second look at Susan Boyle if you passed her on the street. However, if you heard her voice that would be a different story. She may not be a looker but girlfriend has got some pipes! Check it. Dang!
I hadn't listened to this track in a while but on a recent road trip, I put this lovely little track on and fell in love with it all over again. It's one of the best house tracks that I have ever heard. No - really. It's one of the most fun, flippy, trippy, happy beats out there. Trust me. Listen.
Hey Charlie - Think you can muster up a new mix before you depart for la la land? Perhaps this could be a lil' project? xox.
My friend Dave sent me a link to the movie he has been working hard on for the past two years - a comedy called Sophomore. The movie looks tremendously funny. You continue to do your thing and that is so inspiring. Visit the official movie site and learn more about this fim - www.sophomoremovie.com!
