Taxi to the 'falls.

Rocketboom, which is a three minute daily videoblog hosted by Joanne Colan based in New York City, recently went on a NYC Water Taxi ride to check out the NYC Waterfalls. I wrote about the 'falls a few weeks ago. They were super duper cool. I got to see the waterfalls on a rainy weekend from the dock at the South Street Seaport with RJH and Cackles but I think we need to get a closer look. The NYC Water Taxi is a fabulous ride anyway. Sun, water, NYC in the distance, a cool breeze and plenty to look at! Heaven.

Death of a Saint.

Sad Sad Sad! Estelle Getty, who played the lovable Sofia on the hit show The Golden Girls, died today at the age of 84. Dang!! SO freaking sad. She'll be missed. Watch a fabulous clip below. xox.

Tonight.

Tonight I get to go with some of my best buddies to see George Michael perform at Madison Square Garden. I'm SO SO SO looking forward to seeing him live. This will be my first time seeing the brilliant and talented brit. It's long overdue! One of my favorite songs that George released is the tounge-in-cheek hit Outside. He is clearly making fun of his police bust and arrest (no - not the recent drug busts!) where he was caught soliciting for well..let's just say "sugar" in a public restroom. After the bust, George didn't have to come out as Gay. It's was fully understood. The video is super duper fun. If you are gonna bust out of the closet, a video like this is the best way to show the world that that it's all good. xox.

A weekend away...

I'm getting ready to leave a 3-day stay at The Spa at Norwich Inn in Connecticut. RJH and I have been busting our rumps over the course of the last few months at work and decided that we desperately needed to get a way for a few days. We relaxed, had facials, got massages, sat in the sauna, enjoyed the steam room, soaked in the whirlpool and basically did a whole lotta nothing. What a blessing! We are wrapping up our weekend with a quick visit to one of my dear friends, Dan and his boyfriend Corey, who have a lil' house close to the shore not too far from where we are staying now. I'm so glad I was able to get away with RJH this weekend. We need to take more time to relax and breathe and collect ourselves. Our life in New York moves at a dizzying speed and we don't always take the time to unwind. We did this past weekend - even if it was only a few days - a few LOVELY days. La Pequeña just keeps on giving.

It certainly isn't Christmas and my birthday is not until next week, but today I recieved a fabulous present. Another La Pequeña video! Lucky Me! (and you!) So in recent weeks, a video has been circulating around and finding its way on to numerous blogs. The video is of what the media in Chile is calling the Subway Goddess Monserrat Maria. The Subway Goddess of Santiago, Chile has been making the commute of her fellow passengers a lot more exciting by stripping down to her bra and panties (eeew...i hate the word panties! I also hate the word paste...ok, I digress) and doing a little pole routine. (SEE IT HERE!) Does she realize how dirty subways are?? They are in New York anyway. Well, La Pequeña found out about this and decided to join in on the fun by creating her own version. It's pure brilliance. However, you may need to wash your eyes out after watching. It's not for the faint of heart. Enjoy! La Pequeña for President!
