I've never really been a fan of John Lennon's song Imagine. I mean, duh, I totally dig the message and all that but the original and every remake that I have ever heard has just seemed corny and cheesy. Yes - even Madge's version was dull dull dull. She's not getting love from me there. Well, the absolutely adorable and talented David Archuleta performed the song last night on American Idol and it was brilliant. If for no other reason at all you should tune in to American Idol to see this young chap perform. The judges and the fans love love love David. After the song, YOU MUST listen to Paula's comments on his performance! She said "David, you are ridiculous. I wanted to squish you, squeeze your head off, and dangle you from my rear-view mirror". No really - that is what she said - no joke. I bet she is only half kidding. Watch the clip.

Ugh. I SO have a love/hate relationship with David Archuletta. Boy can sing and Imagine was pretty darn good, but he gives off these creepy Utah pod person vibes. He is getting the royal local boy does good treatment here all over the local media.
