Friday - Friday - Friday! Finally! It's been such a crazy week but it's coming to a close. I started my Friday with a little bit of dental work. Ummm uuuuh...yeah, not cute. I won't go in to the gory details but let me tell you - I was SO numb from the Novocain that I couldn't even go in to work for a few hours. I could barely talk. The message I left for my boss was laughable. Garbled words…slurred speech - I'm sure it sounded like I was drunk. Sadly I was far far far from a buzz. So despite a very rocky start to my day, I know that it will end far better than it began. My BF is taking me out dinner tonight to celebrate my PROMOTION AT WORK! WOOT! I got promoted to Manager! For those of you who don’t know, I work at an advertising agency in the city and I've bustin' my rump this past year. I wasn't working this hard specifically to get promoted but the thought was in the back of my mind. How could it not be? Right? All my hard work and finger crossing paid off. So wherever you are, whatever your plans are for this Friday - have fun - let loose and celebrate just a bit for me. I couldn’t be more honored and thrilled at this reward. Now...the stakes are higher and my work must increase. Bring it on, bitches. I’m ready.
